Forming his first band at nine and touring since the age of 17, James continues to perform all over the world including England, Europe and the USA, and has performed with musical giants like Dizzy Gillespie, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, Woody Shaw and George Benson. James has received the Order of Australia for his service to the arts in Australia. James is currently performing at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Kristjan Jarvi before heading off to Norway, The Netherlands, Lithuania and Belgium.
